About Us

The Stout Student Dietetic Association is the student organization within the dietetics program at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The organization has several goals and objectives including: 

  • Conduct meetings twice a month between the officers, members, and potential third parties (including guest speakers). 
  • Promote the knowledge of foods and nutrition. 
  • Educate students and the community on nutrition related health issues. 
  • Provide community assistance. 
  • Provide nutrition related volunteer and leadership opportunities to its' members. 
  • Acquaint the students with the professional opportunities and responsibilities in the dietetics field. 
  • Inform members on possible career choices within the field of dietetics, including the path to becoming a Registered Dietitian. 
  • Provide networking opportunities between student members and other professionals within the field of dietetics. 

Eligibility for membership includes: 

  • Having a major related to dietetics or interest in dietetics as a student within the University of Wisconsin-Stout. 
  • Are undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
