Enercon Industries Bill Zito Packaging Education Scholarship

This Scholarship is donated by Enercon and administered by the PMMI Education & Training Foundation. A one-time scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a two- or four-year program at any of PMMI’s Partner schools.
When applying for the scholarship, students must:

• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Be majoring in packaging engineering or a related area
• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the packaging industry
• Be currently enrolled in the program
• Have a financial need
• Demonstrate extra-curricular involvement, such as athletics
• Have a recommendation from faculty

Enercon Industries is a longtime PMMI member and supplies induction cap sealers and corona treatment systems.
Students wishing to apply for this scholarship should submit a brief essay describing their interest in the packaging field, and their career goals to Danny Martinez at danny@pmmi.org


IoPP - Wisconsin Chapter Scholarship Program

The IoPP Wisconsin Chapter provides two full time School of Packaging students $1000 of financial assistance ($500 per semester). In order to be eligible, the following qualifications need to be met:

1. Accepted to and actively taking courses in an accredited college or university School of Packaging
2. Full time student (not on internship)
3. Completed or currently enrolled in two foundation courses (i.e. PKG210 & PKG220)
4. Active member of IoPP (i.e. board member, regular attendee)
5. Achieved CPIT standing
6. Submission of essay describing why scholarship is deserved (500-800 words)
7. Resident of a Wisconsin county served by the IoPP Wisconsin Chapter1

Scholarship request essays must be completed and submitted by May 1 in Word.doc and sent to Rochelle Dressman at the email address below. Scholarship recipients will be notified 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the fall semester with renewal prior to the spring semester as long as the recipient will not be in an internship, and still meets the above criteria (except for items 5 & 6).

Scholarship recipients must notify the IoPP Wisconsin Chapter of their desire to accept the scholarship and a written (email) acceptance must be sent to Rochelle Dressman no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the fall semester. Scholarship checks will be sent directly to the school to be credited towards the recipient’s tuition.

TAPPI Scholarship

TAPPI offers several scholarships for students in the pulp, paper, and related industries.

The application deadline for the various Division scholarships vary, but the earliest is February 15. Read the details for each Division in the Scholarship Information and Application document. The application deadline for the William L. Cullison scholarship is May 1.
